Wadakkanchery PS Cr. 713/17 u/s 302 IPC

On 06.08.2017, one Haneef, a migrant labourer from Uttarpradesh hacked to death by his colleague Mananjay, due to previous enmity. Accused has been arrested by the Investigating officer, within a short time.

Mala PS Cr. 980/17 U/S 302, 212 IPC

On 07.08.2017, one migrant labourer Jahirul Islam, aged 26, native of Assam state was murdered by another migrant labourer Baliram Uron of West Bengal due to previous enmity and family disputes. The other accused helped him to escape from the scene. All accused has been arrested by the Investigating Officer.

Chelakkara PS Cr. 617/17, U/s 302, 397 IPC

On 20.09.2017, one Kalyanikutty, aged 75 was found died in a bushy yard near Subramania Temple, Pulakkode, Chelakkara. Gold ornaments weighing 5 sovereign was also found lost. Thorough investigation revealed the accused person and it was reached up to one Gopi, priest of the Subramania Temple. The next day, the dead body of Gopi was found backside of his house, as committed suicide by hanging 24.09.2017.

Chalakudy PS Cr. 1229/17 U/s 57 KP Act altered to 302, 364, 384, 120(b), 34 IPC

On 20.09.2017, one Rajeev of Angamaly found died at Pariyaram. During the enquiry it has been revealed that he was abducted the deceased and forced him to sign some documents in favour of them, when he reluctant, he was tortured and died. In this case, Advocate Udayabhanu is one of the accused and he was arrested. The case is in the final stage of investigation.

Kunnamkulam PS Cr. 1722/17 u/s 174 CrPC altered to 302 IPC

Accused Jayanthi Lakkada hailing from Chhattisgarh. She was an inmate and a helper of Fathima Convent, Chowanur and gave birth to a baby. She threw the baby into a bucket at the toilet and died. Accused arrested.

Mathilakam Police Station Cr. 1334/17 U/s 143, 147, 148, 341, 323, 324, 302, 212 r/w 149 IPC and Sec. 27 of Arms Act

One Mohammed Siyad @ Mammu, aged 27 years was killed during a clash between two groups. Accused persons arrested.

Kodungallur PS Cr. 1225/2011 U/s 304, r/w 34 IPC. Occurred on 12.09.2011

Accused Krishnakumar and his wife Shylaja, Thayineri, Kannur dishonestly took the possession of movable and immovable properties belonged to one Balakrishnan, who was a retired Joint Registrar from Co-Operative Department. They denied treatment to the victim, constructed forged documents, marriage certificates to transfer the funds from the bank, family pension from the government, etc.

During the initial stage, there was no clue about the intension of the accused persons. Thorough investigation and earnest efforts taken by the District Crime Branch revealed the offence committed by the accused persons.

Rowdy parade in police stations

Instructions have been given to all Station House Officers in Thrissur Rural District to prepare a list of accused persons and anti-socials according to the priorities and to call them to the Police Stations on Tuesdays or Fridays. Accordingly, the listed persons presented at the concerned Police Stations. During Tuesday/Friday Parades, the Station House officers introduced Rowdies to the Police personnel presented there. This has made an improvement in the Law and Order situation and also helped the Police Personnel in identifying and following the anti-socials. Also, a proforma has been designed to chart out the profile of these anti-socials.

Introduction of LEO patrolling system – LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS

LEO (Law Enforcement Officers) Patrolling System has been introduced with effect from 31.08.2017. LEO is operated from the Circle Stations and functioning 24 hours a day. Each LEO Patrolling vehicles have one Officer, Two Policemen and a driver. The main aim is to reduce the Crimes & offences not to detect petty offences. LEO squad have been endorsed to check the previous offenders who are included in the priority lists prepared by the DCRB. During the peak time, LEO squads are concentrated in the accident hotspots. The implementation of LEO has been showed good reflect in the Law and Order situation and reporting of accidents.

Visit to Tribal & SC/ST Colonies

Frequent visits to the Tribal Colonies have been made by the District Police Chief. On 31.08.2017, DPC Thrissur Rural conducted visit and interactions with the tribal people at Kakkinikad Colony (Wadakanchery PS) and on 02.09.2017, visited Mattinmukal colony (Pazhayanur PS).
